Homegrown Talent: Skilled Trades & Engineering Scholarships

Scholarship Spotlight

We’re supporting home grown talent in Northern New Brunswick and Maine through scholarship programs for post-secondary students in skilled trades and engineering. The Northern New Brunswick Trades and Engineering Scholarship and the Maine Trades and Engineering Scholarship help young people build careers in skilled trades and engineering without having to leave the communities they call home.

The scholarships cover 50 per cent of tuition up to $5,000 a year, come with paid summer placements and guaranteed full-time employment after graduation. To date, 20 students have used this platform to launch careers in engineering and skilled trades within the Woodlands and Sawmills businesses.

For our home communities to thrive, local youth need real reasons to stay — competitive wages, meaningful work and the ability to build a solid future at home. These scholarships are one way our Woodlands and Sawmill businesses are working to make that possible.

Interested in Applying?

These scholarships are open to both Grade 12 graduates and mature students interested in skilled trades or engineering. Applications are accepted until December 31 each year.
